What does Canva do for me?
Canva is a design platform that can be used for businesses or personal purposes, most notably for marketing and social media. Here we explore the role Canva can play and the kind of content you can create, like this blog banner for example!
Canva is great because it is an opportunity for me to explore more of my creative side when coming up with ideas to, for example, promote something on Instagram.
Canva is an opportunity to showcase something that may seem bland but making it interesting, by taking something as simple as a quote and making it seem special. The platform allows people to create structures that will outline things in such a way that it will elevate the original. A great example are the tools used to change the text. It is not just about changing the font but the experience the font can have. In this case it could be how the font is animated or shaped, and that is just the start of what Canva can do.
The main aspect of Canva that has been beneficial to me is how I used it for social media specifically, for Equicantis and Titan Webtech, as part of a wider marketing plan. It has solidified a consistent layout of how things are presented online, but also open the chances of putting things out there that would be unexpected. For example, within the site you can place images into a variation of shapes and positions which can be more pleasing to the eye and help to engage an audience.
However, if there was one thing that Canva could improve upon, it would be allowing more creative options within the Free version. As someone who has had the chance to use the Pro version, I am aware of the fantastic added features and, in comparison, the Free version is really, very restricted. Obviously, Canva is a business, but I do feel they could release a few more features to the Free version. If you are just using Canva for personal use, or for a very small business, you can get by with Free, but to truly grasp the range of what Canva can do for your marketing, paying for the Pro version would be advisable.
Canva can also help to do the following things; business cards, reviews, blog posts, leaflets and much more. From my experience using Canva, it is clear that it can be a key marketing tool for businesses but also just for general practice or personal use. The wide range of functions within the platform is a key strength.
Having all this in mind, Canva is a true benefit for people and understanding all that is possible within the site as the more it advances the more people can thrive.
To Canva, for making the simple beautiful.
